Local Scholarship (For studies within Nigeria)

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Kaduna State Government Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
A. Local Scholarship Requirements (Within Nigeria)
- Must be a citizen and indigene of Kaduna State.
- Must be an undergraduate or postgraduate student in a recognized tertiary institution in Nigeria.
- Must have a minimum CGPA of 2.0 (5.0 scale) or 1.6 (4.0 scale).
- Must have at least one semester left before graduation.
- Spillover students (those exceeding study years) are not eligible.
- Parents’ Tax Certificate is required (or a Death Certificate if parents are deceased).
B. Foreign Scholarship Requirements (For Studies Abroad)
- Must be a citizen and indigene of Kaduna State.
- Must submit Parents’ Income Tax Certificate or Death Certificate (if deceased).
- Newly admitted students must provide an admission letter.
- Medical clearance from a government hospital, including a drug test certificate.
- Working applicants must provide a Letter of Release from their employer.
- Undergraduate applicants:
- Must have at least 5 A’s in WAEC, NECO, or equivalent, including English & Mathematics.
- Other subjects must be at least Grade B.
Postgraduate applicants:
- Master’s applicants must have a first-class bachelor’s degree.
- PhD applicants must have a distinction in a master’s degree.

How to Apply for the KDSG Scholarship
Follow these steps to apply:
Step 1: Visit the Scholarship Portal
Go to the official KDSG Scholarship Portal and review the available scholarship categories.
Step 2: Start Your Application
- Click on “Apply” to begin your application process.
- Select your scholarship category (local or foreign).
- Create an account using a valid email address.
Step 3: Fill in Your Details
- Provide personal & academic information (name, institution, matriculation number, CGPA, etc.).
- Upload all required documents (see list above).
- Provide the parent’s NIN & phone number.
- If applying under the Disability Scholarship, upload a medical certificate showing the nature of the disability.
Step 4: Submit Your Application
- Double-check all details and uploaded documents.

Step 5: Attend the Screening Examination
- Shortlisted applicants will be notified via email about the screening exam date and venue.
